European Qualifications Framework
The European Qualifications Framework (EQF) is a common reference tool developed by the European Union to help understand and compare qualifications across different countries and education systems.
The framework is structured into eight reference levels, which describe what a person knows, understands, and is able to do after completing a learning process. Levels range from Level 1 (basic general knowledge) to Level 8 (advanced knowledge, such as a doctoral degree).
Why is this relevant for our project?
-
Facilitates international mobility: By linking national qualifications to the EQF, it makes recognition easier across countries, promoting student and professional mobility.
-
Supports lifelong learning: The EQF encourages validation of non-formal and informal learning, fostering access to education throughout life.
-
Enhances transparency and comparability: Focusing on learning outcomes (knowledge, skills, and autonomy), the EQF allows for clearer and more objective comparison of qualifications.

New collaborations during the project
Erasmus Plus emphasizes the importance of high-quality strategic partnerships as a foundation for enhancing the impact and excellence of mobility programs. At Xabec Formación Profesional we welcomed two groups from ENGIM Piemonte and Engim Veneto for a a presentation on vocational education and conducted a metalworking training for apprentices.

SEPIE follow-up meeting
From SEPIE, the Spanish National Agency, a series of workshops have been organized for more than 85 Erasmus+ KA2 projects funded under the 2023 call. The sessions provided key recommendations to help prepare the final steps of the projects and ensure a solid final report. XABEC took part in these sessions, where the importance of recognizing learning outcomes was especially highlighted.
